Made of tooth-colored material, composite resin fillings restore the tooth's natural beauty. Composite fillings can be matched very closely to your natural tooth color and are virtually indistinguishable from non-restored teeth. Composite fillings are excellent options for front teeth, but may be suggested for selected sites on molars as well. The composites we use have been proven to be extremely durable and stain resistant.
If you have a cavity, or an old filling needs to be replaced, composite tooth colored fillings are a cosmetically pleasing solution. These fillings are referred to as direct restoration, which means the dentist places fillings immediately into a prepared cavity in a single visit. The decayed or cracked portion of the tooth is removed and the area is cleaned and isolated before the bonding procedure. The dentist prepares the tooth, places the filling and adjusts it during one appointment.
