General Dentistry
At Dr. Grubb’s practice, we offer tooth extraction as one of our many dental services. Sometimes tooth removal is necessary because of injury to the tooth, extensive decay, for placement of dentures or before orthodontic treatment begins.
If you’re in need of teeth extraction, when you come to our practice, you are in the hands of a highly trained, experienced and respected dentist. Dr. Grubb graduated in the top of his class from the University of Maryland's Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1975. After completing a residency at Sinai Hospital, where he received advanced training in surgery and anesthesia, he returned to his hometown of Havre de Grace and has been a practicing dentist for 32 years.
During his hospital residency, Dr. Grubb received training in anesthesia in the operating room, and administered IV-sedation in the general dental clinics. In addition, he has completed an extensive continuing education course through the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry Department of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology with a certificate in IV-sedation, which is only given after meeting educational requirements and having passed an examination.
Depending on your situation, local anesthetic, IV Sedation or Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) may be used for your teeth extraction. Visit our Sedation Dentistry page for more information on the options available.
